Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with ADLs including dressing, bathing, meals, and activities.
  • Perform housekeeping and laundry tasks for residents.
  • Develop relationships with residents and support their families.
  • Document daily records and report changes to the ED/Health and Wellness Director or RCC.
  • Facilitate socialization and meaningful interactions among residents.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings, care conferences or in-service training.
  • Administer medications after training and delegated by nursing staff.
  • Maintain a team-focused, positive attitude with staff and families.
  • Support management directives and resident safety policies.
  • Assist with resident activities and coordinate with health staff as needed.

Job description

Position Summary:

Responsibility for performing a variety of functions in providing quality care to residents. Within the limits of delegation, in order to provide personal care and psychosocial support to residents. You will assist with activities of daily living, housekeeping, cooking and activities. You will represent the highest standards of the Enriched Senior Living commitment to individuals, their families, and our community.


Qualifications:


  1. Minimum qualification of high school diploma or GED.

  2. Must have experience as a caregiver and working with individuals diagnosed with Dementia.

  3. Must be at least 18 years of age.

  4. Employees must be able to complete infections control training and have no communicable diseases.

  5. Employees must be familiar with OSHA blood-borne Pathogen standards and observe all policy and procedures to protect themselves, other staff and residents from infection.

  6. This job will require, at times, the employee to lift more than 50 pounds helping residents. Proper lifting techniques must be used to avoid injury to staff or residents.

  7. Mus be able to pass criminal background checks.

  8. Must be in good health.

  9. Must be reliable transportation.

  10. Must be compassionate and give excellent resident care.

  11. Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.

  12. Must have basic computer knowledge.


Duties and Responsibilities included but not limited to:


  • Superior knowledge of the Enriched Senior Living Mission, staff and operations including a commitment to “person-directed” care.

  • Assist residents in all aspects of ADL’s including dressing, bathing, housekeeping, meals and activities.

  • Develop relationships with residents and support their families.

  • Perform daily record keeping for residents and report any changes in routine or behavior to the ED/Health and Wellness Director or RCC.

  • Facilitate socialization among residents and engage in meaningful interactions.

  • Attend and participate in monthly staff meetings, care conferences or in-service training.

  • Maintain a team focus and winning attitude with staff and families.

  • As required by the Executive Director of Management.

  • Administer medications to residents with needed after being trained and delegated by nursing staff.

  • Resident and facility laundry.

  • Housekeeping includes dusting, vacuuming, taking out garbage, and cleaning bathrooms.
