Job description

Location: Saratoga Retirement Community, 14500 Fruitvale Ave, Building 3000, Saratoga, CA 95070

Pay Rate: $20-$24 DOE

Responsibilities

• You will provide person-centered, individualized, direct care to residents in the facility and promote resident wellbeing and satisfaction through support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Develop knowledge of state and federal regulations and community policies and procedures; maintain safety awareness and follow up on identified risks.
• Communicate with residents, families, and team members effectively and individualize communication to accommodate residents' specific needs.
• Complete assigned duties such as activities of daily living (ADLs), showers, socialization time with residents, mealtime duties, maintaining neat resident spaces, medication administration, replenishing supplies, providing clean linen, and transporting residents to appointments.
• Monitor resident activity, food intake, functional status, and psychosocial status, taking action as necessary to promote resident wellbeing.
• Report status changes immediately to supervisor.
• Document all completed tasks and ADLs as soon as possible.
• Attend all required in‑services and training in compliance with state and federal guidelines and facility protocols.
• Support current certifications with any required continuing education.
• Participate on the resident care team by identifying personal preferences of residents, maintaining the highest achievable level of functioning, and informing nursing leadership with critical information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
