Job summary

Waterford at Westover Hills, a Sonida Senior Living community in San Antonio, TX, is seeking compassionate caregivers to support residents in assisted living and memory care settings. The position offers flexible scheduling, paid training, and a benefits package designed to support you and your family.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, escorting residents, helping with meals, and contributing to engaging activities while treating residents with dignity.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Preferred knowledge and experience in nursing or senior living, home health, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Assists with instrumental activities of daily living and encouraging self-care and independence
• Escorts residents both within the building and outside, as needed
• Assists with setting up, serving meals and cleaning up afterwards
• May assist with the planning and executing of activities for residents on a regularly scheduled basis
• Treat residents with dignity and respect at all times
• Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths
• Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals

Education
