Job summary

Families Choice Home Care is seeking a Caregiver to join our team. The Caregiver provides physical care and emotional support for clients who may not be able to care for themselves due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability.

The role emphasizes dignity, patience, compassion, and respect for clients and their property. The ideal candidate will offer empathetic care, maintain client comfort, and assist with daily living activities while observing safety and confidentiality in a compassionate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher.
• Driver License.
• Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report.
• State Registration.
• TB Test.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time.

Responsibilities

• Home assistance – Provide light housekeeping, run errands or provide transportation if needed. Accompany clients to appointments and assist with medications. Prepare meals, purchase food and provide personal assistance with general living needs. Personal services could include toileting, bathing, feeding and grooming.
• Companionship – Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging and assisting an individual.
