Job summary

Right at Home Central Michigan is hiring caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs to support seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes. You will perform in-home care tasks, assist with daily activities, and provide compassionate companionship as part of a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs.
• English reading, writing and speaking required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Background check required.
• CNA/Home Health Aide/Personal Care Aide certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with transferring/moving around their home.
• Perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and dishes.
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompany clients to errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, shaving, and ROM exercises.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with dementia care and companionship activities.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home
• Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying client on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs without assistance
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide certification preferred
