Job summary

Visiting Angels Midland is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors in West Texas and the Permian Basin. You will provide companionship, assist with daily activities, mobility support, and transportation while fostering independence.

We offer training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care and opportunities for growth. Full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts are available to fit your schedule in Midland and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Must be genuinely committed to providing compassionate care for seniors.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and safety concerns.
• Experience with light housekeeping, meal prep, and mobility support.

Responsibilities

• Give clients medication reminders.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility around home and appointments.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Support with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input.
• Run errands or accompany client shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping as needed.
• Provide companionship and report incidents or emergencies.

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Give clients medication reminders
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shopPerform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Caregiver Requirements

• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver
