Job summary

Regency on Whidbey, a retirement, assisted living and memory care community, is seeking caring and compassionate individuals to join our team. As a caregiver, you assist residents with daily living, including medication assistance, meals, and social activities, reporting to the wellness director.

Applicants with six months of senior caregiving experience are preferred; we offer training for newcomers, shift differential, and a benefits package including health, PTO, life insurance, EAP and

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in senior caregiving preferred; training available for newcomers.
• Able to maintain a clean, neat, safe environment for residents and staff.
• Ability to compose reports in English.

Responsibilities

• Follow resident service plans including assistance, bathing, grooming, medication administration, and daily living activities.
• Communicate problems and issues with residents' apartments, buildings, and grounds to the team.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Demonstrate infection control procedures and comply with OSHA guidelines.
• Relate with residents, families, and volunteers to support their dignity and independence.
• Report changes in residents' condition to appropriate staff.

Shift Differential Offered

As a caregiver, you assist our senior residents in their daily well-being, including personal services, medication assistance, social-recreational activities, meal services, and other tasks. You will report to the wellness director.

You Will:

• Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), noting changes in the resident condition.
• Communicate problems, concerns, and issues with resident apartments, buildings, and grounds with an appropriate team member.
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards and OSHA guidelines, and incident reporting guidelines.
• Relate and communicate with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.

You currently:

• Preferred candidates have six months of experience in senior caregiving. If new to healthcare, we will train.
• Exude a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe demeanor.
• Compose reports in English.
