Job summary

Sinceri Senior Living is seeking a Resident Assistant to be a key member of a compassionate team, delivering consistent, high-quality care for our residents. You will contribute to meaningful daily living experiences and support residents across activities, meals, and daily routines.

As part of our team, you will help residents with daily tasks, encourage participation in social activities, and uphold a safe, respectful living environment. We value caregiving excellence and community involvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other staff members.
• Must be able to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to pass CPR, First Aid, Food Handlers, etc. tests if required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility.
• Engage residents in meaningful conversation and activities while providing personal care assistance.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and obtain assistance with care as necessary.
• Assist in the dining room during resident meal times.
• Encourage residents to participate in scheduled activities and outings, and assist with those activities as needed.
• Assist with cleanliness of the community, including tidying resident rooms and handling daily tasks.
• Assist with resident laundry per shift guidelines.

Essential Functions:

• Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility
• Engages residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance
• Responds to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provides or obtains assistance with care as necessary
• Assists in the dining room during resident meal times
• Encourages residents to participate in scheduled activities and outings, and assists with those activities as neededAssists in the cleanliness of the community, including straightening resident beds, emptying resident garbage, and tidies resident rooms daily and as needed
• Assists with resident laundry per shift guidelines

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other staff members.
• Must be able to perform job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to pass the necessary tests (i.e., CPR, First Aid, Food Handlers, etc.) if required by state regulations.
