Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Buffalo is hiring an in-home caregiver or CNA to assist seniors, with flexible scheduling and options for full-time or part-time hours.

The starting wage is $18/hour for Caregivers and $20/hour for CNAs. After 5 months of employment, Caregivers may enroll in our CNA training program and receive a wage increase to $20/hour upon certification. Free CNA classes may be available.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills required, both oral and written.
• Must have valid driver’s license and ability to drive to clients’ homes.
• Ability to assist clients with personal care, transfers, and mobility as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with all personal care needs as needed
• Assist clients at mealtime and monitor eating habits
• Ensure that required documentation is complete and in compliance
• Assist with housekeeping tasks
• Maintain confidentiality regarding each client

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand and lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance
• Able to assist both male and female clients with personal cares
• Must have had driver's license for at least 3 years
• Clean driving record
