Current immediate need in Merrimack

He is an 88-year-old proud Veteran with a big heart, a warm smile, and a love for good conversation! He lives at home with his wife and their four small, friendly dogs. The lower level of their home is fully adapted for his care needs, including a hospital bed, sit-to-stand, Hoyer lift, stair lift, shower chair, and more. He’s a social guy who loves to chat, making companionship as important as hands-on care. This role is best suited for someone with experience, but training and support are provided. If you enjoy building meaningful connections, you’ll love working with him on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 1 pm.

We find the right case in the right location and are happy to accommodate your needs! Whether you prefer short shifts like 9 am–1 pm Monday–Friday or longer shifts like 7 am–7 pm, we have many hours within 30 minutes of Merrimack. Part-time or full-time hours are available, and applications are processed quickly.

Right at Home Southern NH, the only nurse-owned agency in NH, has been awarded provider of choice four years in a row. We are rapidly growing and offer opportunities to work with aging adults providing assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, and companionship. Prior experience is required for Dementia and Total Care clients.

Caregiver Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and access to transportation or reliable means to travel up to 30 minutes
• Minimum age of 18
• Comfortable with housekeeping, companionship, and light personal care
• Able to lift 10-50 lbs
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Pass pre-employment background checks, health, drug screenings, and reference checks

Bonus points for:

• LNA, caregiving, or healthcare experience

Pay:

$17.00–$18.00 per hour on weekdays and $19.00–$20.00 on weekends, depending on experience.

A Typical Day as a Caregiver:

Providing personal care, including:

• Light housekeeping (mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dishes, trash)
• Assisting with hygiene (toileting, bathing, mouth and skin care)
• Helping with daily tasks (transferring, meal prep, dressing, shaving)
• Offering companionship (errands, transportation, social interaction)
• Engaging in activities and games
• Building meaningful relationships and making a difference
