Job summary

Seniors Helping Seniors Ozarks (SHS) in-home care services is hiring caregivers to brighten the lives of seniors in Springfield, Nixa, Ozark, Republic, Battlefield, Rogersville and Willard.

As a SHS caregiver you will provide companionship, light housekeeping, meals, errands, medication reminders and personal care following detailed care plans, with a flexible schedule and supportive team. Applicants should be empathetic, reliable and committed to the SHS mission.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and homemaker duties.
• Assist with light housekeeping (laundry, vacuuming, dishes).
• Shop and run errands for clients.
• Prepare meals for clients.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with dressing, grooming, and personal care as needed.
• Provide overnight supervision and incidental transportation as required.
• Document and report changes in client condition to the office staff.

Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care services of Ozarks (SHS) brightens the lives of seniors who can benefit from a helping hand and a friendly smile. Our caregivers, who are seniors themselves, make life a little easier by providing compassionate care in the comfort of our care receiver’s home.

SHS empowers seniors to continue living independently by caring for day-to-day tasks that become more challenging as seniors age.

Companionship and Homemaker Duties may include:

• Provide Companionship

• Assist with Light Housekeeping such as laundry, vacuuming, washing dishes, etc…

• Shopping and Errands

• Meal Preparation

• Medication Reminders

• Pet Care

• Light Yard Work

• Light Handyman Services

• Overnight Supervision

• Incidental Transportation to doctor’s appointments, family, or their favorite restaurant

Personal Care Duties may include:

• Assist with Dressing

• Assist with Feeding

• Assist with Showering / Bathing

• Mobility Assistance

• Assist with Toileting / Incontinence

• Memory Care

Other Responsibilities:

• Arrive on Time for all Services

• Caregivers may be contacted by management outside of standard office hours when coverage is needed for open shifts.
• Maintain documentation of all services provided

• Record and report changes in the client’s physical condition, behavior, or appearance to our office staff

• Communicate regularly and proactively with our office staff

• Participate in relevant in-service opportunities and other informational meeting when possible

• Clock in and out using our care management system
