Job summary

Companion Care Home Care is seeking dedicated caregivers to join our team. We provide personal hygiene assistance, medication reminders, mobility support, meal prep, light housekeeping and companionship in clients’ homes.

You will work one-on-one with clients, delivering compassionate care and maintaining safety. We value patience, empathy, organization, and strong time management, and offer flexible scheduling and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Be able to work in a one-on-one setting and continuously improve skills.
• Able to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly or those recovering from surgery or injuries by attending to basic needs such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals and help with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities essential for daily living by assisting patients with meals and related tasks
