Job summary

Companion Care in Allison Park, PA is seeking dedicated caregivers to join our team and make a meaningful difference in clients' lives. We provide personal care, mobility assistance, meal support, and companionship in the home, with flexible scheduling and supportive supervision.

Ideal candidates have a compassionate, patient mindset, good time management, and a commitment to safety. Prior home care or healthcare experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation daily.
• Compassionate and supportive demeanor.
• Willingness to work nights and/or weekends.
• Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum 1 year) preferred.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance and daily living support.
• Remind clients to take medications and assist with ambulation.
• Assist with mobility to appointments and activities.
• Plan meals and assist with personal care and light exercises.
• Complete shopping or accompany to stores.
• Perform housekeeping and report incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Provide activities essential for daily living as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remindclients to take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals and help with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year - preferred)
