Job summary

HomeWell Care Services in Madison, MS is seeking part-time caregivers, CNAs, PCAs and HHAs to provide non-medical personal care, companionship and homemaker services in clients’ homes. You will help clients remain at home with dignity and quality support.

Join us for flexible schedules and a supportive team. Prior CNA/HHA preferred but not required; reliable transportation and compassionate care are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year experience or more (CNA or HHA license preferred but not required)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position
• Must have available reliable transportation and proof of driver’s license and auto insurance
• Excellent communication skills required
• Able to lift at least 150 lbs
• Pass a criminal background check (national/state as required)
• CPR certified preferred
• Drug screen and TB test required
• Able to be around animals (cats and dogs)

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and social engagement
• Assist with housekeeping and laundry
• Assist with meal prep and cooking
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting
• Assist with ambulation and medication reminders
• Arrange transportation for appointments and errands
• Provide bed-bound and incontinence care as needed
• Engage in life enrichment activities (parks, games, exercise, crafts)
• Care for clients and pets as needed

Our mission is to make a difference, one day at a time. We serve clients in Madison, Hinds and Rankin county. Our office location for the interview and orientation is in Madison Mississippi.

Responsibilities and Duties:

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Companionship
• Housekeeping and laundry
• Cooking and meal prepping
• Bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting
• Assistance with ambulation and medication reminders
• Transportation for appointments and errands
• Bed bound and incontinence care
• Life enrichment (visiting parks, playing board games, exercise, painting and crafts)
• Help with pets

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have at least 1 year experience or more (CNA or HHA license preferred but not required)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position
• Must have available reliable transportation. If transporting clients, must have proof of a valid driver's license and automobile insurance
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Must be able to lift at least 150 lbs. (Assisting and transferring clients)
• Must be able to perform all job duties in description
• Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
• CPR certified preferred
• Must pass a drug screen and TB skin test
• Must be able to be around animals (cats and dogs)
