Job summary

Visiting Angels Southern Maryland is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home care for seniors in Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary’s counties. You will support daily living activities, assist with mobility, and help with medication reminders in clients' homes.

The role offers flexible scheduling and movement into various shifts; prior caregiving experience or CNA certification is valued, with emphasis on safety and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant job experience, or current CNA license
• Valid driver’s license and reliable car
• CPR certification
• Pass background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screen
• Social Security card present at time of interview

Responsibilities

• Show kindness and empathy towards senior clients
• Provide essential support to seniors at their residence
• Help with medication reminders
• Assist with household errands and provide transportation to and from appointments
• Perform light housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation duties
• Personal care and hygiene assistance as needed

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Perform light housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation duties
• Some people need personal care and hygiene assistance – including bathing, dressing, and grooming

Job Requirements
