Front Porch Communities & Services is seeking a Caregiver for the Kingsley Manor facility in Los Angeles, CA. This full-time position runs from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, offering a pay range of $20.25–$24.00 per hour.

You will perform routine nursing assistant services under supervision and provide compassionate resident care in accordance with policies and standards. The role requires basic education, a First Aid certificate, and 0–12 months related experience.

• Assists residents to and from dining room and serves meals; helps with food and tray delivery.

• Maintains a clean, safe and sanitary environment; follows safety protocols.
• Maintains resident logs and reports changes to the Supervisor.

Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Resident Services/Charge Nurse or designee, the Caregiver is responsible for performing routine nursing assistant services to the residents of the facility. Provides resident care according to policies and procedures and within acceptable nursing standards.

Caregiver/ Full Time: 2:30 pm- 11:00 pm

Pay Range: $20.25 - $24.00

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Caregiver
• Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction.
• Follows all established Front Porch Protocols for safety.
• Assists the residents to and from the dining room, and assists in serving meals. Serves trays to residents in their rooms, if necessary, and assists with cutting of food.
• Assists residents with bathing, dressing and personal hygiene.
• Washes resident's personal laundry as needed. Makes resident's beds daily.
• Maintains a safe and sanitary environment.
• Maintains a log with all vital information.
• Reports to Supervisor regularly regarding the resident's condition.
• Maintains all documentation as required by Federal and State regulations and Company policy.
• Arrives to work on time, in proper clean uniform, good personal hygiene and with nametag visible.
• Follows highest standards of cleanliness. Follows all federal, state and corporate policies, health codes and guidelines in preparation and handling of foodstuffs.
• Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner. Wears safety equipment as required for the job. Reports any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor.
• Attends all mandatory in-service meetings. Complies with all department and facilities policies and procedures.

• All employees are required to follow safe work habits in order to prevent injuries to themselves, residents, visitors or other employees

Essential: Competencies and skills:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

Credentials: Essential:

• First Aid certificate

Nonessential:

• CPR certificate

Essential: Education with Equivalent Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED

Essential: Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:

• 0 Year 6-12 months related experience

Nonessential:

• 0 Year long term care, geriatric and/or rehabilitative nurse
• 0 Year Current experience and/or training as a caregiver
