Job summary

Senior Helpers of Southeast Nebraska is hiring caregivers for all shifts. We provide hands-on support to help clients remain independent and safe at home, with meals, activities, and daily care. Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English at an average adult level.
• Must be compassionate, dependable, and dedicated to helping others.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships through conversation and companionship.
• Participate in clients’ activities and hobbies.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
• Assist with walking, dressing, bathing, and daily personal care.
• Observe and report changes in clients’ condition, mood, or behavior.
• Document care and communicate updates with the care team.

What a Caregiver Does

As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you provide hands‑on support that helps clients maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. Responsibilities may include:

• Building meaningful relationships through conversation and companionship
• Participating in clients’ favorite activities and hobbies
• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping
• Assisting with walking, dressing, bathing, and daily personal care
• Observing and reporting changes in clients’ physical condition, mood, or behavior
• Documenting care provided and communicating updates with the care team

Caregiver Qualifications
