Job summary

Hands of Gold Homecare is seeking a caregiver to join our team and support veterans with non-medical homecare. Flexible scheduling, weekly direct deposit, health benefits, and fast onboarding are available.

Duties include companionship, housekeeping, transfers, bathing, grooming, meals, and adherence to the client service plan. We value reliability, compassion and the ability to respond to emergencies effectively.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• 1 year caregiver experience.
• Valid driver’s license/state ID and reliable daily transportation.
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Adequate physical endurance.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Perform housekeeping and meal prep with client involvement.
• Assist with transfers and ambulation (cane, walker, wheelchair, or Hoyer Lift).
• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Plan and serve meals with client input.
• Assist with toileting as needed.
• Report unusual events to the administrator.
• Act quickly in emergencies and follow Client Service Plan.

• Offering companionship and emotional support

• Plan, prepare and serve meals, with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Assists clients with toileting, including use of bedpan, or toilet
• Report on any unusual events or occurrences to the administrator
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Completes all other duties within the Client Service Plan
