Job summary

Village Caregiving in Lewistown, MT is hiring Caregivers to assist clients at home. Part-time and full-time hours are available, with competitive hourly pay and flexible scheduling to fit your life.

Responsibilities include medication reminders, mobility assistance, personal care, light housekeeping, shopping, and accompanying clients to appointments. Required: CPR certification, background check, high school diploma or equivalent; prior caregiver experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Prior caregiver experience preferred but not required.
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients complete physical therapy and exercises
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies

CAREGIVER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
• Must be able to pass a background check
