Job summary

Extended Family Home Care is hiring caregivers to serve Southern New Hampshire and coastal Maine. As an in-home caregiver, you\'ll provide one-on-one support to seniors, helping with daily activities, transportation, light housekeeping, and companionship to promote safety and independence.

We offer flexible scheduling, competitive pay, direct deposit, holiday pay, and ongoing training with a mentor program. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Experience in in-home care is a plus.
• Open availability strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors and families
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): dressing, bathing, grooming, mobility
• Help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry
• Assist with errands, grocery shopping, and transportation
• Provide medication reminders (non-medical)
• Document care in a daily log

Caregiver Responsibilities

As a caregiver, you will:

  • Incontinence care

  • Support safe ambulation and transfers

• Help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry

• Assist with errands, grocery shopping, and transportation

• Provide medication reminders (non-medical)

• Document care in a daily log (health, wellbeing, and activities)

Caregiver Requirements & Preferences

• High School diploma or GED required

• Valid Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and a reliable vehicle

• Open availability strongly preferred

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check

• Experience is a plus (not always required):

  • PCA (Personal Care Aide)

  • LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant)

  • Caregiver, companion, or similar roles
