Job summary

Home Care Alternatives & Loving Hands Home Care is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to support clients in their homes. You will assist with daily activities, help maintain dignity and independence, and contribute to quality of life.

The role involves personal care, mobility assistance, meal prep, light housekeeping, and safe transport for appointments. Prior healthcare or in-home care experience is preferred; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working in healthcare or in-home care environment is preferred.
• Must be able to drive client’s van and transport clients daily.
• Non-smoker and able to comply with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance and help with daily living activities.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with ambulation.
• Assist with mobility around the home and accompany to appointments or walks.
• Help with meal planning, preparation, and basic physical therapy exercises when needed.
• Complete shopping or accompany clients to complete errands.
• Perform housekeeping duties and report any incidents.
• Respond quickly in emergencies; ensure client safety at all times.
• Offer and participate in daily living activities to support independence.

We’re looking for a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to provide exceptional support to our clients in their homes. In this role, you’ll assist with daily activities while helping individuals maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remindclients to take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals and help with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting clients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Requirements

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Prior experience in a healthcare, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standard.
• Must be comfortable driving clients van and transporting her in it.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day.
• Hoyer experience or willing/capable of training.
• Urinary Catheterization experience or knowledge or willing/capable training.
• Non-Smoker
• No long or acrylic nails
