At Avenues Home Care of East Tennessee, our caregivers are our front line and most common representatives. As a Caregiver, you will be caring for the elderly, vulnerable, disabled, and those who cannot care for themselves. You are required to prioritize the client’s needs and perform the following duties with care. Our Johnson City office provides caregivers for the Northeast Tennessee area, including Jonesborough, Kingsport, Bristol, Greeneville, Elizabethton, Erwin, and others.

Caregiver Primary Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as specified in the care plan, including bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, toileting, transferring, eating, and continence care.
• Assist with medication management, housekeeping, laundry, meal prep, feeding, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
• Perform other household tasks as outlined in the care plan.
• Report daily activities to your supervisor via the management system and logs, and communicate through other channels as needed.

• 8, 10, 12-hour shifts
