Job summary

Mentor Community Services, a part of Sevita, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll join a mission-driven team and create relationships that motivate us all every day. Start as a caregiver in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with starting pay of $15.75 per hour.

You’ll help people with daily activities and support independence. Sevita offers full benefits for full-time employees, paid time off, holiday pay, a 401(k) with a 3% company match,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible behavior expected.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support participants with developmental goals and community participation.
• Help participants with budgeting, exercise, and nutrition as part of goals.
