Job summary

Village Caregiving is seeking compassionate caregivers to assist clients in their homes in Farmington, NM. You will support daily living activities, help with mobility, personal care, light housekeeping, meals, and transportation as needed, under guidance from nurses and family members.

The role emphasizes empathy, reliability, and clear communication, with opportunities to learn through teamwork and ongoing safety practices. Prior caregiving experience is preferred, CPR certified is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required.
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification preferred.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner.
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed

• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
