Job summary

Village Caregiving in Escanaba, MI is seeking dependable, compassionate in-home caregivers to assist seniors and veterans in the local community. No prior experience is required, as paid training and CPR certification are provided. Both full-time and part-time positions are available with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving is preferred but not required.
• CPR certification is preferred; certification can be obtained through our training process.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation to client homes.
• Ability to follow health and safety guidelines.
• Basic knowledge of meal preparation and housekeeping.
• Ability to follow dietary restrictions and client care instructions.
• Compassionate, patient and respectful attitude.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to perform the physical duties required for caregiving.

Responsibilities

• Keeping accurate records of hours worked, services provided, and required care notes.
• Reporting unusual changes or concerns to the appropriate office staff.
• Responding appropriately and responsibly in emergency situations.

Job Responsibilities

As an in-home caregiver, you will help clients with everyday activities and provide support that allows them to remain safe and comfortable in their homes.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene

• Providing mobility and walking assistance inside and outside the home

• Offering medication reminders

• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when needed
