Job summary

Sevita is seeking a caregiver to empower individuals with developmental disabilities to live independently in home and community settings. You’ll build real relationships, take initiative, and support participants in daily goals and activities.

This full-time role offers competitive pay at $9.00/hour, a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, holiday pay, and a supportive network of supervisors. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months in human services, direct care or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
• Vehicle: Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with insurance.

Responsibilities

• Help participants with daily living activities and independence goals.
• Support participants with budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Assist with community participation and activities they enjoy.
• Document observations and progress for care planning.
