Job summary

Home Care Alternatives & Loving Hands Home Care in Michigan seeks a compassionate Caregiver to provide in-home support, helping clients with daily activities while promoting dignity and independence.

You’ll assist with personal care, mobility and meal preparation, adapt to different shifts including nights and weekends, and collaborate with families to maintain safety and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must provide compassionate, patient in-home care.
• Capable of performing essential duties with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance (bathing, dressing, feeding) in clients' homes.
• Remind clients to take medications and assist with ambulation.
• Support mobility around the home and accompany to appointments.
• Assist with meals, personal care, and simple physical therapy exercises.
• Complete light housekeeping and report any incidents.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Engage clients with daily living activities and companionship as needed.

We’re looking for a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to provide exceptional support to our clients in their homes. In this role, you’ll assist with daily activities while helping individuals maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Possibility of building your schedule up to full time if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remindclients to take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals and help with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by clients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
