Job summary

Senior Helpers in Dunnellon, FL is seeking Home Health Aides to deliver compassionate in-home care, helping clients with personal tasks, mobility, meals, and daily routines while promoting safety and independence. You will provide companionship, light housekeeping, transportation to appointments, and medication reminders, with opportunities for flexible schedules and professional development.

Must have caregiving experience, valid ID, Level 2 AHCA background check, CPR, and reliable

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience providing personal care services.
• Valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID.
• Clear Level 2 Background Screen from AHCA.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Active CPR certification from an in-person course.
• Reliable transportation to and from shifts.
• Excellent communication skills with a caring demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, eating, grooming and toileting.
• Provide companionship, light housekeeping, and meal planning/preparation.
• Help with transfers between bed, chairs, and wheelchairs; transportation to appointments and errands.
• Provide medication reminders and support as needed.

Job Description

Home Health Aides at Senior Helpers provide personal care services for our clients that enable them to safely and comfortably remain in their homes. Caregiver duties include helping clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating, grooming and toileting. Examples include:

• Companionship (playing games, talking, going for walks)
• Light housekeeping, including laundry
• Meal planning and preparation
• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as showering, eating, and grooming
• Transfer assistance between bed, chairs, wheelchairs, etc.
• Transportation to appointments and errands
• Medication reminders

Qualifications Needed

• Previous professional experience (with an agency or a care facility) providing personal care services.
• Valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID
• Clear Level 2 Background Screen from the State of Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA).Information about the Level 2 background screen can be found here: Clearinghouse Education and Awareness
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have an active CPR certification form an in-person, hands-on course.
• Reliable transportation to and from shifts
• Excellent communication skills with a kind, caring and compassionate demeanor
