Job summary

Home Instead - Dubuque, IA is seeking compassionate Care Pros to provide hands-on support that helps older adults stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their home.

You will assist with personal care, support dementia care needs, and promote healthy routines while taking initiative to improve clients’ quality of life. Flexible weekend hours and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
• Experience providing personal care and supporting individuals living with dementia.
• Willingness to take initiative to promote independence and quality of life.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, comfortable living environment with light housekeeping, laundry, and routine tasks.
• Assist with personal cares, including bathing, incontinence, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Safely guide and assist clients with transfers, mobility, and movement throughout the home.
• Prepare balanced meals and snacks to promote nutrition and hydration.
• Foster meaningful connections through conversation, engagement, companionship, and reassurance.
• Accompany clients to appointments and errands; mileage reimbursed.
• Observe and report changes in condition, behavior, or safety concerns to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete accurate documentation and communicate important updates in a timely manner.

At Home Instead, we believe aging should be shaped by the individual, not defined by limitations. We're looking for compassionate Care Pros to provide meaningful, hands-on support that helps older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they call home.

The right Care Pro will be confident providing personal care, experienced supporting individuals living with dementia, and willing to take initiative to help clients maintain healthy routines and a high quality of life.

Pay

• Competitive Pay: $16.00–$18.00/hour
• Weekend differential — $1/hour additional pay for eligible work between Friday at 10:00 PM and Sunday at 10:00 PM

Schedule

• 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
• Coverage needed 7 days a week
• Required to work 1 weekend day every other week
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance required

What You'll Do
