Job Summary:

We seek a dedicated individual for the role of Caregiver in the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). DDD provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, promoting independence and community engagement. The Caregiver ensures the safety and wellbeing of members while supporting their independence.

Job Duties:

• Provide personal care (bathing, toileting, dressing, hygiene), ensuring safety and independence.
• Perform housekeeping duties such as cleaning and disinfecting.
• Assist with mealtime preparation and support, including cooking and engaging with members during meals.
• Implement Individual Support Plan (ISP) strategies, document progress, and support skill development.
• Facilitate recreational and medical activities, and operate transport equipment as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of cleaning, personal care, and human rights.
• Skills in planning, communication, advocacy, and data recording.
• Ability to read/write English, learn computer systems, and apply therapy and behavior support techniques.

Preferences:

Availability to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and flexible locations is preferred.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and insurance if driving is required.
• Valid Level One fingerprint clearance card.
• Background checks and employment verification required.
