Job summary

Visiting Angels Columbus West is seeking caring caregivers to help seniors stay safe and independent at home in Columbus and nearby communities. You choose your own days and times, with short shifts typically 2–4 hours.

Base pay is $15–$17 per hour, with bonuses for weekend shifts and other shift types. Most work is 7 a.m.–5 p.m. and you can work up to 40 hours a week; you’re paid every Friday.

Qualifications

• Kind, on time, and easy to work with

• Ohio driver's license, car, and car insurance
• Smartphone for schedule and notes
• Care experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and safety at home.
• Prepare meals and light cleaning.
• Remind to take medications.
• Assist with walking or errands.
• Assist with bathing or dressing as needed

Pay and hours

• Base pay $15 - $17/hr. an hour, based on your experience
• Bonus hourly pay for weekend shifts, caring for couples, shorter shifts, and other shift types
• You pick your days and times
• Most shifts are just 2 to 4 hours
• Work as little or as much as you want, up to 40 hours a week
• Work any day of the week, most between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
• Earn more for weekends, holidays, and last-minute shifts
• Get paid every Friday

What you do

You help one person stay safe and happy at home. You might keep them company or cook a meal, do light cleaning, or remind them to take their medicine. You may help them walk around the house or run errands. Some seniors need help to bathe or get dressed.

What we look for

• You are kind, on time, and easy to work with
• You are okay working on your own
• You have an Ohio driver's license, a car, and car insurance
• You have a smartphone for your schedule and notes
• Care experience is a plus.

Where you work

You help seniors around Columbus. That includes Dublin, Westerville, Worthington, Upper Arlington, and Gahanna. We find clients close to your home.
