Job summary

Visiting Angels Quad Cities Bettendorf is hiring compassionate caregivers to serve Clarence and surrounding Quad Cities. Earn $14.00-$16.00 per hour with Full Time, Part Time, 8- and 12-hour shifts, and PRN opportunities. Must have a valid Driver's License and a passion for helping seniors.

Roles include medication reminders, mobility assistance, personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. Training is offered to expand skills in dementia/Alzheimer’s care.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients when possible.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them while shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents and act in emergencies.

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Caregiver Requirements

• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
