Job summary

Visiting Angels Santa Barbara & Santa Maria Counties is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors in their homes across Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Goleta, Carpinteria and surrounding communities. You’ll provide companionship, daily living assistance, light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation support.

We offer day, evening and weekend shifts, with full-time and part-time options, flexible schedules, paid time off, training and development, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Genuine compassion for seniors and a desire to help others.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Physical ability to assist clients with mobility.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidates).
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Help with light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Provide medication reminders
• Assist with mobility and transportation to appointments
• Monitor and report changes in client condition
