Job summary

Kruse Village, operated by Health Dimensions Group, seeks caring caregivers to provide attentive support to residents in our senior living community. You will perform essential ADLs, support meals and activities, and promote safety and well-being in a compassionate, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities include collaboration with nurses and dining staff, attending trainings, and maintaining residents' dignity and independence with kindness and respect.

Qualifications

• Prior caregiver or home health aide experience preferred but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete training on hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, and team members.
• Dependable and flexible with shift availability, including weekends or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents during meals, activities, and daily routines with comfort and dignity.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights to ensure safety and attentiveness.
• Collaborate with nurses and other staff to coordinate holistic care and participate in team meetings.

What You’ll Do (AKA: Your Superpowers)

Deliver Compassionate Resident Care:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.

• Support residents during mealtimes, recreational activities, and daily routines, ensuring comfort and dignity.

• Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights, ensuring safety and attentiveness at all times.

Support a Safe & Healthy Environment:

• Assist with transferring and positioning residents, using proper safety techniques.

• Maintain a clean and organized living environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks.

• Monitor residents’ health and behavior, and report any changes or concerns to nursing or leadership staff.

Promote Engagement & Well-Being:

• Build positive, supportive relationships with residents and families.

• Encourage resident participation in social and wellness activities to enhance quality of life.

• Uphold the mission, values, and care standards of Health Dimensions Group in all interactions.

Collaborate with Team Members:

• Work alongside nurses, dining, and life enrichment staff to coordinate and deliver holistic care.

• Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay current on care practices and community updates.

What You Bring to the Table (Besides Your Big Heart)

Experience & Training:

• Prior experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or personal care assistant preferred, but not required.

• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete training upon hire.

Skills & Qualities:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and team members.

• Ability to provide care with kindness, patience, and respect for residents' dignity and independence.

• Dependable and flexible with shift availability (including weekends or holidays as needed).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and move throughout the shift.

• Able to assist with resident transfers and physical support using proper techniques.
