Visiting Angels Birmingham is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our local team serving Northern Birmingham communities such as Homewood, Hoover, Mountain Brook and Vestavia Hills. This role focuses on companionship, mobility support, and helping seniors maintain independence in their own homes.

We offer training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care, flexible shifts (full-time, part-time, PRN), and benefits like paid time off and weekly pay.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.

• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
