Grand Living at The Grove in Austin, TX seeks a Health & Wellness Assistant to deliver compassionate care and support residents with daily living activities, medication assistance (where licensed), and wellness initiatives. You will collaborate with health, culinary, lifestyle, and hospitality teams to provide a First Class Happiness® experience and meaningful interactions daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• 1+ years of daily living assistance experience preferred.
• 1+ years of senior care experience preferred.
• CNA and/or CMA credentials preferred or required as applicable by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (dressing, eating, grooming, hygiene, mobility, communication, toileting).
• Support residents per personalized care plans while promoting dignity and independence.
• Observe residents and communicate changes to nursing team.
• Provide medication assistance when licensed and assigned.
• Build relationships with residents and families to create a warm atmosphere.
• Participate in community activities, wellness programs, dining, and events.
• Collaborate with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle, and Hospitality teams to deliver the resident experience.
• Ensure thorough documentation for services rendered.

As a Health & Wellness Assistant, you'll help create exceptional daily experiences for residents by providing compassionate care, supporting independence, and delivering personalized service through The Sterling Touch®. Whether assisting with activities of daily living, supporting wellness initiatives, helping with medication administration (where licensed), working in Luminations ® (memory care), or simply being a trusted companion, you'll make a meaningful difference every day.

In this role, you will:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, eating, grooming, personal hygiene, mobility, communication, and toileting
• Support residents in accordance with their personalized care plans while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being
• Observe residents and communicate changes or concerns to the nursing team
• Provide medication assistance and administration in accordance with state regulations and community policies when appropriately licensed and assigned
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families while creating a warm, engaging atmosphere
• Participate in community activities, wellness programs, dining experiences, and special events
• Work collaboratively with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle, and Hospitality teams to deliver an exceptional resident experience
• Ensure exceptional documentation is submitted for all services provided or declined

We're looking for individuals who are passionate about service, hospitality, and senior care.

Preferred qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED, required
• One or more years of experience providing assistance with activities of daily living, highly, preferred
• One or more years of experience working with seniors, preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and/or Certified Medication Aide (CMA) credentials, preferred or required as applicable by state and assignment
• Experience with caring for seniors will be considered in lieu of licensure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive attitude and genuine desire to enhance the lives of others
• Ability to read, write, and understand English in order to communicate effectively with residents, guests, supervisors, and team members
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull, and remain active throughout the shift
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
