Visiting Angels Abilene is seeking caring caregivers to support seniors in the Big Country region, including Albany and nearby communities. Join a team dedicated to companionship, mobility assistance, and daily living support to help families stay connected at home.

We offer flexible shifts (Part Time, 8–12 hour options, PRN), training opportunities in dementia/Alzheimer’s care, and a supportive environment that values community involvement and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about serving others.
• Basic knowledge of safety and emergency response.
• Ability to follow dietary guidelines in meal prep.
• Reliable and able to manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication as directed.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility inside/outside the home.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Support routine exercises and mobility activities.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input.
• Run errands or accompany clients to appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Provide a compassionate, supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents promptly.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Caregiver Requirements

• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
