Job summary

REM Community Services, a part of Sevita, is hiring a DSP caregiver in Akron, OH. Full-time positions available, pay $17.00 per hour. Requires 1–3 years of DSP experience, valid driver’s license for at least one year, and a clean driving record. Schedule includes alternating full-time and awake overnight shifts.

You’ll help individuals with daily activities, health, and community participation while building meaningful relationships and a stable career with Sevita.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license held for at least one year and a clean motor vehicle record.
• Ability to support participants with personal care and community involvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with personal hygiene and daily living tasks.
• Support individuals who can have behavioral challenges and complex needs.
• Help participants engage in community activities and preferred hobbies.
• Assist with budgeting, exercise, and nutrition goals.

This position requires a 1-3 years of DSP experience working with high behaviors, valid driver's license held for at least one year (post-permit) and a clean motor vehicle record that meets Sevita's insurability policy.

Available Schedule

• Full time; Week 1: Sun 12p-6p Mon/Tues/Fri 3p-12a Week 2: Mon/Tues/Fri 3p-12a Sat 6p-12a
• Full-time Awake Overnight; Sunday/Monday 10p-9a Every other Friday/Saturday 10am-9am
