Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school required.
• BA/BS degree preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in social services, coaching, job development or related fields with an employment focus.
• Spanish/English bilingual preferred.
• Knowledge of CalJobs and quality control process preferred.
• Global Career Development Facilitation Certification or Workforce and Career Development Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and guide job seekers through Individual Employment Plans (IEP) based on career goals.
• Identify potential employers aligned with client needs and opportunities.
• Update internal job boards and coordinate with administrative personnel.
• Participate in on-site job fairs and hiring activities; support job clubs and search teams.
• Provide career coaching and case management, tracking training and job search progress.
• Outreach with external partners to build job leads and orders.
• Refer and track clients into on-site programs and maintain partner contact for services.
• Assess employment and training needs through interviews, testing and other strategies.
• Perform data entry into mandated databases and maintain client files.
• Develop and lead business advisory collaborations and partnership events.
• Review documentation for training enrollment and completion.
• Liaise with internal and external service providers through all training and placement phases.
• Research and maintain partnerships with training providers for vocational training.
• Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, and group presentations for real-world business needs.
