Job summary

Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (Ada Center - OESC) seeks a Career Coordinator to manage career assessment, counseling, job placement and unemployment insurance processes in the Ada, OK area. You will engage with veterans and other clients, delivering high-quality employment services during typical M-F hours.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in employment services, career or vocational guidance and counseling, personnel, recruitment, training, customer services or social services related work.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of unemployment benefits processes and state/federal employment regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate career assessment and vocational counseling via applicant interviews and qualification evaluation.
• Register customers for employment services using EmployOklahoma.
• Establish unemployment insurance claims and interpret relevant benefit provisions for claimants and employers.
• Communicate with management, employers, applicants and coworkers regarding job orders and referrals.
