Job summary
Work Opportunities Unlimited is seeking an Employment Specialist (Career Resource Specialist) to help individuals with diverse skills find meaningful employment. You will guide students to develop career goals, create resumes, and coach them for interviews.
The role includes supporting students at job sites and occasional transportation with mileage reimbursement, in a collaborative team setting. The position operates Monday–Friday during daytime hours, with part-time hours (minimum 20 hours).
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and comfortable traveling within your local community.
- Experience in high-touch customer service environments.
- Passionate about working with students (ages 14+)
- Thrives in a collaborative team yet can work independently.
Responsibilities
- Guide students to develop career goals and objectives.
- Assist in creating customized resumes and completing applications for jobs or school admissions.
- Coach and prepare for interviews.
- Assist students at their job sites to ensure success and independence.
- Provide occasional transportation to interviews and milestones (mileage reimbursement).
