Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions, located in Palmer, AK, is seeking an instructor to provide instruction to students under approved career preparation curricula in compliance with DOL guidelines. Pay rate is $48,500/year with a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:45am–4:45pm.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; two years of relevant youth experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate level.
• Background check and drug test required for contract.
• Current, valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with direct instruction and guidance in DOL-approved curricula.
• Develop and prepare lessons; update curricula as needed.
• Motivate and counsel students regarding behavior, training, and study habits; coordinate with career services.
• Administer aptitude and interest assessments to help students choose a path.
• Participate on evaluation panels and maintain required documentation.
• Administer tests; maintain progress and attendance records.
• Manage equipment and supplies; propose purchases as needed.
• Develop enrichment curricula and conduct classroom projects.
• Keep classroom clean and organized; maintain discipline.
• Lead student activities to support development and center life.
• Assist in building community linkages to support CPP classes.
