Workforce Connections, Inc. (WCI) is a nonprofit dedicated to connecting people with work, training, and community services. The Career Planner role focuses on person-centered case management and employment planning to help individuals achieve employment and economic stability.

The position works with participants to assess strengths and barriers, develop plans, coordinate services, and connect with education, training, and resources to support self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, education, business, or a related field preferred.
• Experience providing case management, employment services, workforce development, or related human services preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with participants, employers, community partners, and coworkers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and ability to learn case management software.
• Must obtain Wisconsin FEP certification within the required timeframe and maintain certification throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide participant intake, eligibility determination, case management, and employment planning services.
• Develop individualized employment and service plans that support participant success and long-term self-sufficiency.
• Connect participants with employment opportunities, education, training, supportive services, and community resources.
• Build partnerships with employers, educational institutions, and community organizations to expand opportunities for participants.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with program requirements and organizational policies.
• Manage an assigned caseload while monitoring participant progress and program outcomes.
• Perform other duties consistent with the responsibilities of the position.
