Job summary

Iowa Workforce Development, operating the IowaWORKS Sioux City office, seeks a Title I Career Planner to deliver integrated career services under WIOA. The role includes recruiting participants, creating individualized career plans, coaching, and facilitating job-search support to Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth participants.

The position emphasizes collaboration with employers, community partners, and service providers, with hybrid work options after six months and a focus on documentation

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree.
• Four years of full-time work experience in career services, teaching or training to improve skills, job coaching, or related human-services.
• Four years of education and/or full-time experience, where 30 college hours equals one year of experience.
• Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch with twelve months as a Workforce Associate.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and enroll participants, develop individualized career plans, provide career coaching and job-search assistance.
• Connect customers with community resources, and coordinate training and employment opportunities.
• Build relationships with employers and community partners and support recruitment and work-based learning activities.
