Hiring Range: $15.81 - $28.45

Scheduled Hours: 0

Shift: 1 - Day Shift, 10 Hours (United States of America)

Cost Center: 10020 - 4062 Audiology

Interns will be introduced to UMass Memorial and the variety of experiences and careers we have to offer and will also have the opportunity to network with other students interested in a rewarding career in health care.

Major Responsibilities
  1. Under direct supervision performs a variety of projects or one large project in accordance with specific instructions and established work procedures. This position is for a graduate college level student who is hired to support management with project plans and related activities. May require taking a lead role in a project or working on a team that is leading a project. Receives project guidelines/instructions from management and delivers within the scope of their responsibility a finalized product.
  2. Participates in department activities as required and provides support as needed which may include analysis and research.
Position Qualifications

License/Certification/Education

Required:

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to work independently

Preferred:

  • Completion of a graduate school program (some areas may require a student to be enrolled in a graduate school program)

Experience/Skills

Required:

  • Ability to work well with public and staff, and as a team member.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and demonstration of emerging leadership skills.
  • Must be able to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Good research skills and willingness to learn new skills and attention to detail to produce high-quality work.
  • Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Office programs.

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
