Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is hiring an Audiologist for a 40-hour, on-site day-shift role. You will diagnose, treat, and manage hearing loss and balance disorders across pediatrics to geriatrics, performing audiologic tests and counseling patients.

Requirements include a Master's or Doctorate in Audiology, MA license, and CCC within six months. Preferred 1 year of experience. Schedule is Monday–Friday with a 10-hour day, and a potential signing bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Audiology from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Massachusetts Audiologist license.
• Attainment of the Certificate of Clinical Competence within six months of date of hire.
• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Audiology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with all members of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, assesses, diagnoses, manages, and interprets test results related to disorders of human hearing, balance, and other neural systems for pediatrics through geriatrics.
• Evaluate auditory function of patients utilizing diagnostic audiologic tests that include, but are not limited to, pure tone and speech testing, immittance testing, and otoacoustic emission testing.
• Evaluate vestibular system with videonystamography (VNG) procedures.
• Perform advanced electrophysiologic tests that include, but are not limited to, Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing, and Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential (VEMP) testing.
• Interpret results and counsel patients regarding their test results to determine a course of treatment and review options that best meet their hearing care needs.
