Job summary

RKH Qitarat is seeking a seasoned Track Engineer to lead reliability and maintenance across its track systems, ensuring safe passenger services and optimal asset performance.

You will monitor asset performance, conduct audits, manage RAMS analyses, drive improvements through data analysis, and support contract managers with technical oversight. A Bachelor’s in Engineering and 10+ years in rail track maintenance are expected.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in engineering/maintenance within track related systems.
  • Exposure to the railway environment and its operations procedures.
  • Experience in construction and project management including T&C, trial running and handover.
  • IT literate and proficient with CMMS like MAXIMO.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor asset performance to ensure KPIs compliance and report to the Senior Systems Engineering Manager – Metro.
  • Conduct inspections/technical audits related to maintenance activities.
  • Monitor subcontractor work quality, safety, and MMS work orders management.
  • Provide technical support to contract managers and drive improvements with MMS team.

Overview of the Role

Delivering a safe and reliable passenger service with a specific focus on engineering, maintenance and asset management for the Track System

Key Accountabilities:
  • Monitor and check asset performance to ensure KPIs compliance and report to the Senior Systems Engineering Manager – Metro
  • Conduct inspections/technical audits related to maintenance activities to ensure compliance to the asset maintenance plans.
  • Monitor subcontractor work quality, efficiency, safe systems of work and MMS work orders management.
  • Attend and prepare the failure review boards, FRACAS meeting and Defect meetings with the relevant Subcontractors/stakeholders
  • Review the fault attribution submitted by the Subcontractors
  • Ensure the closure of CAR assigned to RKH and Subcontractors following audits or inspections
  • Provide technical support to the contract managers
  • Propose enhanced KPR/KPIs (such as but not limited to MTBF, MTTR, Availability) and review the asset performance on an ongoing basis with the inputs provided by MMS team
  • Initiate improvement plans aiming to cost optimization and enhanced service delivery, including the introduction of new technologies through business cases
  • Ensure that root cause analysis is performed promptly for each incident
  • Introduce best maintenance practices leading to predictive maintenance
  • Provide the monthly/periodic and ongoing reporting in line with the contractual and stakeholders requirements
  • Carry out any other tasks or work assigned by the Senior Systems Engineering Manager.
  • Contribute to the ISO 9000 and 14000, 55000 Certification for area of expertise and ensure compliance once accredited
  • Obsolescence Monitoring and Management for LRT and Metro.
  • Assurance inspections on LRT and Metro.
  • Driving improvements through data analysis, failure management, RAMS analysis etc.
  • Driving improvements through innovations.
Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in engineering / maintenance within track related systems
  • Exposure to the railway environment and its operations procedures
  • Experience in construction and project management including T&C, trial running and handover
  • MAXIMO or any similar MMS/CMMS
  • QLIKVIEW or any other similar Business Intelligence systems
  • PLCs and Logic Controller systems
  • Technical standards relevant to the systems under his/her responsibility
  • Risk analysis
  • Condition Based (CBM) and predictive maintenance
  • Transverse management advocate and team player
  • Negotiation and authority, with decision making capability
  • Anticipation, analysis, identification and problem-solving capacity
  • Stakeholder management with internal and external customers
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Training needs analysis
  • Analytical and critical ability
  • IT literate
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Maintenance
