Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. in Ashland, AL is seeking a Cabinet Handler to support the staging and movement of cabinetry within our manufacturing facility. You will read cabinet labels, orient items for staging, and help keep the workspace efficient and safe.

This role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to follow safety guidelines; weekend/evening shifts may be required. We value accurate, detail-focused performance and dependable contributors.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or 1 year of equivalent experience.
  • Ability to read cabinet labels and follow staging instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Read cabinet labels to stage cabinets in correct sequence.
  • Orient cabinets in staging bays.
  • Operate hand-truck to move cabinets.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Follow company procedures to resolve problems.
  • Assist warehouse team and shipping supervisors as needed.

Since 1961, the Wellborn family has owned and operated Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. The goal is to provide kitchen and bath cabinets crafted by dedicated Wellborn employees with the utmost quality and care. Today, over 55 years later, the product line has broadened to include cabinetry and storage solutions to help maximize the total home living space. As the final point of contact between the factory and our customer, this role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Basic knowledge of how to read cabinet labels to stage cabinets in correct sequence by stop.
  • Able to learn how to orient cabinets correctly in staging bays.
  • Safely utilize hand-truck/dolly rolling cabinets to and from conveyor or staging bays.
  • Keeping work area clean and organized, including daily floor sweeping to keep bays clean.
  • Uses company procedures to resolve problems.
  • Assists warehouse team and shipping supervisors as needed.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED, or 1yr of equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in planning, prioritizing and time management.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and timely completion of tasks.

  • Frequently required to lift 30–60-pound boxes overhead. Occasionally required lift overhead and/or move boxes that weigh a minimum of 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
