Job summary

Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. is seeking an Auditor in the UPS/Shipping Department in a manufacturing setting. You will verify doors, drawer fronts, and frames against paperwork, measure parts for accuracy, and flag discrepancies for correction.

Role requires knowledge of wood types and door styles, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and attention to detail. High school diploma or GED and some related experience are expected.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all doors match paperwork by correct size, style, and quantity.

  • Notate missing or wrong parts for correction.
  • Communicate incorrectly pulled products for correction.
  • Track all product pulled incorrectly and ensure corrected items are staged/delivered.

Job description

Since 1961, the Wellborn family has owned and operated Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. The goal is to provide kitchen and bath cabinets crafted by dedicated Wellborn employees with the utmost quality and care. Today, over 55 years later, the product line has broadened to include cabinetry and storage solutions to help maximize the total home living space. This role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living.

The incumbent in this position supports the activities and responsibilities of the U PS/ Shipping Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensures all doors match paperwork by correct size, style, and quantity
  • Measures parts to verify sizes and quantities are correct to ensure Door/Drawer Front/Frame styles match production paperwork.
  • Notates if any parts are missing or wrong in size
  • Communicates incorrectly pulled and labeled products returning them to the puller for the correction process
  • Tracks all product pulled incorrectly
  • Ensures the production process is completed by stacking and tracking all corrected items
  • Utilizes knowledge of various wood types: Maple, Hickory, Cherry, Oak, MDF, etc.
  • Utilizes knowledge of door styles and labels to assist in the auditing process

  • Keen sense of attention to detail
  • Self-starter who works well under pressure and can follow a list of daily work assignments.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma, GED, or 1yr of equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in planning, prioritizing and time management.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and timely completion of tasks.Organization and planning

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequently required to push buggy or cart of product from staging area to work area.
