Job summary

Commonpoint Queens is seeking an Employment Coordinator in the Adult Workforce Department to support DYCD-funded contracts. You will conduct client intakes, manage post-training activities, facilitate workshops, and provide employment services for adults pursuing long-term employment across Queens and the Bronx.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 1–2 years in workforce development, and strong bilingual abilities.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in preferred languages; excellent communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 1–2 years of workforce development or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of supporting diverse populations in employment services.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive case management from enrollment to placement and retention.
• Conduct intakes, eligibility screenings, and service plan development.
• Coordinate internships and job placements with employer partners across Queens and the Bronx.
• Deliver job readiness and employment services—resume, interview prep, referrals.
